Wake Forest QB done for the 2016 season

A difficult sophomore season has come to an unfortunate conclusion for Wake Forest quarterback Kendall Hinton. According to Dave Clawson, Hinton reinjured his knee and will miss the remainder of the 2016 season. Clawson made the announcement on Tuesday.

Before he departed, Hinton played in three games this season: Tulane, Duke and Delaware. Wake Forest won all three games. He completed just 11 passes this season for 174 yards; Hinton also threw an interception. He was more successful on the ground, running for 125 yards and two touchdowns. Hinton sprained his PCL in the win over Delaware back in September.

The Demon Deacons are bowl eligible for the first time since the 2011 season. They have three games remaining on their regular-season schedule, including two top-five opponents (Louisville, Clemson). John Wolford will continue to start at quarterback for Wake Forest.
