According to a tweet from Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports, the NCAA Division I council has voted to approve voluntary events in football, women’s basketball and men’s basketball, starting on June 1. This period will run for a month, until June 30. Up to this point, there’d been a postponement until May 31.
The Division I council is expected to address other sports later this week.

Outside of limited recruiting efforts, college athletics have been in a holding pattern for the last 2.5 months, as the world came to grips with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Early on last week, the NCAA pushed back the recruiting dead period until July 31.
