NC State’s Bubble (likely) bursts following loss to Syracuse

If NC State were to seriously approach The Bubble for the 2021 ACC Tournament, then the Wolfpack needed to make a serious run in Greensboro. That equated to at least two wins — Syracuse and Virginia — if not three. However, NC State never got close.

The Wolfpack fell on Wednesday to Syracuse, another bubble team, 89-68. The 89 points are the most Syracuse has scored in a tournament game since 2009. Junior guard Buddy Boeheim was red-hot: 27 points (6-of-12 3PA).

NC State ranks No. 68 in the NET. The Wolfpack are just 1-7 in Quadrant 1 games.
