NC State, Virginia Tech in top 3 for 4-star Jordan Poole; decision on the horizon

Jordan Poole, one of the top 2021 prospects in the state of North Carolina, narrowed his list of schools to three, back in June. More recently, though, Poole tweeted out that a decision for his college commitment will happen soon.

The 6-foot, 225-pound athlete will pick between two ACC programs and an SEC school: NC State, Virginia Tech and South Carolina.

Poole, who plays for West Stanly High School in Oakboro, ranks as the No. 4 prospect in the state of North Carolina (No. 63 overall), according to 247 Sports.

NC State is recruiting Poole to play linebacker. As of right now, NC State is also considered the favorite to land Poole.

Other ACC programs — Duke, Florida State and Virginia — also offered Poole.

The Wolfpack already have 16 commits in their 2021 recruiting class, which ranks 36th nationally; half of those players are North Carolina products, too.

Virginia Tech, on the other hand, has 18 commits for 2021 — with zero commits from North Carolina.
