NC State looks to add size to its 2018 class with 4-star big David McCormack

In June, NC State offered a pair of centers in Ian Steere and Immanuel Bates. Both are in-state products — Steere plays for High Point Wesleyan, and Bates at Northwood Temple Academy in Fayetteville.

However, within days of being offered, Steere was quickly off the board. He made a surprising verbal commitment to Creighton. Aside from being quite the coup for Creighton — to get a top talent from the state of North Carolina to head to Omaha for college — it represented perhaps the first severe blow to new head coach Kevin Keatts’ recruiting efforts.
