With Michael Devoe headed to GT, Wake Forest will look elsewhere for a PG

Well, Danny Manning can’t land every recruit.

Manning has been on a roll lately, getting commitments from highly ranked forwards Jaylen Hoard and Isaiah Mucius. But last weekend, the Deacons saw point guard target Michael Devoe commit to Georgia Tech.

Devoe visited Wake Forest on the Sept. 14 weekend, the same one as Mucius. It appeared that Devoe might be the fourth and likely final piece to the Deacons’ 2018 recruiting class. Devoe is ranked No. 92 in 247 Sports consensus rankings.

In addition, power forward Nate Roberts (No. 203) also removed the Deacons from his final list recently.

So the question becomes: where do Manning and his staff go from here?
