4. Jameis Winston, Florida State
“Rhymes with Famous” Jameis became the youngest player ever to win the Heisman Trophy (prior to Lamar Jackson), during the 2013 season. Winston appeared in 27 games while at Florida State, winning his first 26 starts, while becoming one of the most prolific quarterbacks in ACC history.
In only two seasons of action, Winston threw for 7,964 yards (9.4 yards per attempt) and 65 touchdowns — to only 28 interceptions. Winston’s career pass efficiency mark (163.28) is a Top 30 number in college football history (since 1956). When he finished his career in Tallahassee, it was also an ACC record, which was subsequently usurped by Howell and Lawrence. It remains an FSU record, though.
At the end of the 2014 season, Winston held the ACC career records for passing yards per game (295.0) and touchdown passes per game (2.41).
