19. Darian Durant, North Carolina

Similar to Taylor, Durant was ahead of his time, too. Durant was a pure passer during his time at UNC (2001-04); the numbers jump off the page, especially when you consider his era of football. Durant was a precise short-yardage passer (7.6 yards per attempt), one that would’ve found greater statistical success in a more modern style of play: spread offense and more pass plays.

When Durant finished his career at North Carolina, he was the program’s all-time leader in passing yards (8,755) and touchdowns (68). Subsequently, Durant was usurped in both of these categories by Sam Howell. Durant now ranks third in all-time passing yards at UNC — behind Howell and TJ Yates.
