8. Chris Weinke, Florida State
As Bobby Bowden and Florida State ran roughshod over the ACC in the 1990s, Weinke emerged as one of the dynasty’s signature quarterbacks/players. After his minor league baseball career fell short, Weinke took over at Florida State; he finished his career with 9,839 passing yards and 79 touchdowns, both of which still rank Top 10 in ACC history
As Florida State, led by Peter Warrick, won the 1999 national title, Weinke was superb: 3,103 passing yards (8.2 yards per attempt) and 25 touchdowns.
One year later, Weinke went through the air for 4,167 passing yards (9.7 yards per attempt, 5th most in ACC history) and 33 touchdowns.
