NC State entered the spring with one signee in its 2017 recruiting class. That number soon may turn to zero.
According to ESPN analyst Adam Finkelstein, shooting guard Thomas Allen has asked for a release from his letter of intent to NCSU:

Former Wolfpack coach Mark Gottfried signed Allen last November.
A Garner, N.C., native, Allen just wrapped up his prep career at Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, N.H. The 6-2, 180-pound prospect holds a 3-star rating in 247Sports’ composite listings. If he stuck with the Pack, he would add depth on the wing behind rising juniors Maverick Rowan and Torin Dorn.
