UVA found a frontcourt sleeper in Italian Stallion Francesco Badocchi

Virginia picked up a late commitment on Sunday that further solidifies the team’s depth down low. Forward Francesco Badocchi, a native of Italy who played two seasons at Bishop Miege High School in suburban Kansas City, is the newest member of the Cavaliers’ 2017 class.

Badocchi potentially rounds out the Cavaliers’ incoming freshman class. At the very least, his presence gives UVA another body for practice.

The forward is the No. 276 overall player in his class according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. However, there are signs that he will easily outperform that ranking.
