The summer is obviously busy time in terms of football recruiting. With that in mind, as the programs head into the July 4th holiday, here are a couple quick updates in terms of ACC commitments.
4-star WR commits to Miami
Last Sunday, 2020 4-star Wide reciever Michael Redding III commited to Miami over Florida State. Initially, FSU was thought to be a favorite for Redding III; however, he picked the Hurricanes after a recruiting effort led by assistant coach Taylor Stubblefield. Several SEC programs offered the 6-foot-1 wideout as well, including Alabama, Florida and Auburn.

3-star DE Romello Height to Miami
Miami stayed busy on the recruiting trail, landing another 2020 commitment a day after Redding’s decision: 6-foot-5 3-star defensive end Romello Height from Georgia commited to the Hurricanes over many other big name schools. Height and Redding bring Miami’s 2020 football recruiting class up to 20 commitments.

Height’s commitment comes less than three weeks after an official visit to Miami. Earlier in June, he also visited Kentucky.
Georgia tech lands 3-star OT Michael Rankins
Georgia tech adds another commit to their offensive line in 3-star Michael Rankins from Florida. Rankins is the 19th commit for Georgia Tech’s 2020 recruiting class and the fifth offensive lineman.
