Why Dave Doeren’s new deal provides stability for NC State football

NC State head coach Dave Doeren found himself the subject of what may have seem to be an unlikely courtship when Tennessee came after him with a deal that would have reportedly been worth at least $4 million annually.

The Pack was able to hold onto its fifth-year coach by agreeing to its own contract extension through 2022 that will pay him $3 million annually.
