NC State will open November tournament against Arizona

The bracket for the 2017 Battle 4 Atlantis was revealed on Monday afternoon and NC State will open the eight-team tournament held during the Thanksgiving holiday against Arizona.

The Wolfpack will play Arizona at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Nov. 22. NC State will play at 3 p.m. ET (win) or 9:30 p.m. ET (lose) on Thursday against Northern Iowa or SMU. On the other side of the bracket is Purdue, Tennessee, Villanova and Western Kentucky.

Arizona is the top-ranked team in ESPN.com’s ‘Way-Too-Early Top 25’ that was released on May 25.

All games in the Battle 4 Atlantis will be televised, but network designations have yet to be announced. The tournament will take place in Atlantis’ Imperial Arena, a 3,900 seat arena located on the resort property.

NC State’s appearance in the Battle 4 Atlantis will mark the second consecutive season the Pack have played a non-conference tournament in the Caribbean. Last season, NC State played three games in the Paradise Jam held at the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The meeting with the Wildcats will be the third all-time between the two programs. Arizona won the first two contests. The Wildcats beat the Pack, 76-74, on Dec. 23, 2009 in Tucson and knocked off NC State, 72-62, on Dec. 19, 2010 in PNC Arena
