Trying to predict how Wake Forest’s basketball roster will shake out in 2018-19 is surprisingly difficult. While it’s easy enough to know the names, it’s difficult to figure out who will be contributing and where.
That makes the jobs of Danny Manning and his staff that much more difficult on the recruiting trail.
What we know: Power forward Dinos Mitoglou and point guard Mitchell Wilbekin will be out of eligibility; that will leave at least two open scholarships. Shooting guard Keyshawn Woods, point guard Bryant Crawford and center Doral Moore will be seniors entering 2018-19.
What we don’t know: Will forwards Rich Washington and Donovan Mitchell be contributing? They played little as freshmen this year. Will Sunday Okeke, an incoming walk-on forward, be good enough to see the court in his second season? Will centers Moore and Sam Japhet-Mathias improve enough to hold down the middle, and where will 2017 signee Olivier Sarr fit in?
