Poll: Will Dave Clawson, Wake Forest go bowling in 2016?

After back-to-back 3-9 seasons to start his tenure at Wake Forest, Dave Clawson appears to have the program headed in the right direction. It hasn’t always been pretty; Wake Forest has lost 14 ACC games combined the last two years, but the offensive line finally has much needed depth, and the Demon Deacons have two talented options at quarterback: John Wolford and Kendall Hinton. Wake has been strong on defense under Clawson, but he’s an offensively-minded coach, who has his most talented group on that side of the ball since arriving in Winston-Salem, including pass-catching tight end Cam Serigne. If all goes well, Wake Forest could participate in their first bowl game since the 2011 season.

Just this week, Wake landed a commitment from the biggest recruit in the history of the program: four-star defensive end Michael Allen, who hails from Georgia. Rivals has Allen ranked as the No. 9 defensive end in the 2017 recruiting class.

With only three weeks left between now and the season opener at BB&T Field against Tulane, do you believe Clawson will be able to help lift Wake Forest to a bowl game in 2016?
