After starting 22 games in 2014 and 2015, John Wolford lost the starting quarterback job at Wake Forest this season during the team’s win at Duke. Dave Clawson named Kendall Hinton the starter going forward. Unfortunately for Hinton, he was injured in the team’s very next game: a 17-point victory over Delaware. The knee injury will reportedly (Sept. 19) keep him out for 2-4 weeks.
In Saturday’s victory over Indiana, Wolford was 16-of-29 throwing for 172 yards and a touchdown; he also ran for 61 yards and two scores on the ground, too.
So, when Hinton returns from injury, who should start at quarterback for the undefeated (4-0) Demon Deacons?
