Top takeaways from NC State’s spring game

NC State football went with a different look for its annual spring game held this past Saturday. Instead of the live scrimmage that has been used since Tom O’Brien was hired, fifth-year head coach Dave Doeren went with a more situational-formatted scrimmage.

Each period had its own theme. The first was scripted plays. The second included situational drives such as two-minute drills. In the final drill, the team went live action for primarily second- and third-stringers.
