Former Wake Forest basketball player Kenny Herbst joined The David Glenn Show on Monday to talk about Demon Deacon great Tim Duncan, who just finished his 19th season in the NBA.
During the conversation, Herbst talked about everything from Duncan’s arrival at Wake as a little-known recruit in 1993 to his blossoming into the greatest power forward in the history of the game. Herbst, who roomed with Duncan when the Deacons were on the road, also shared his thoughts on whether or not the big man will retire.
“I’m not sure that anyone knows other than Tim, and I’m not even sure that Tim knows,” Herbst said. “He’s not one that really cares what the public thinks about this or that. I think he’s a sensitive guy, and he’s not trying to be a guy that’s not a nice guy, but I don’t think that necessarily means he cares what the public wants him to do, whether that’s to retire or not.”
