Breaking down differences between Dennis Smith and Cat Barber

In a period of transition for NC State men’s basketball, one of the starkest differences could come at the point guard position.

Out is Anthony “Cat” Barber, a super-quick, score-first point who posted ACC Player of the Year-caliber numbers last year en route to first-team all-conference honors. Barber has declared for the NBA Draft and signed with an agent.

Then there is Dennis Smith Jr. — an explosive athlete with a more traditional point guard mentality.
