- No. 5 Notre Dame (2-0)
- No. 8 Miami (3-0)
- No. 12 North Carolina (1-0)
- No. 24 Pittsburgh (3-0)
Despite improving to 3-0 with a win over Louisville, Pitt fell three sports to No. 24. Virginia Tech defeated NC State; however, the Hokies dropped from No. 20 to outside of the AP Top 25.
Virginia Tech — alone with Virginia and Louisville — is one of three ACC teams to receive votes.
