For the 2020 recruiting cycle, Wake Forest basketball signed a four-man class. However, with the decision to move on from Danny Manning as head coach, one player has already asked for a release from his letter of intent.
Jaylon Gibson, a 3-star power forward from Raleigh, signed with Wake Forest last November. Gibson has re-opened his recruitment.
2020 post prospect Jaylon Gibson, of Grace Christian, has requested a release from his Letter of Intent to Wake Forest after the dismissal of Danny Manning, his coach DeShannon Morris tells @247Sports.

Gibson committed to Wake Forest last August; he picked the Demon Deacons over offers from East Carolina, Temple, Iowa, Charlotte and Cincinnati.
Later in the evening, 3-star combo guard Djimon Bailey followed and asked for his release, too.

Wake Forest still has two other 3-star signees, currently, in the 2020 class: Marcus Watson and Quadry Adams. We will continue to update if there are additional changes.
