When junior guard Terry Henderson hurt his ankle within minutes of the season-opening loss to William & Mary, the initial prognosis was 6-8 weeks. Now it appears to be more like 8-10 weeks.
N.C. State head coach Mark Gottfried told CBS’s Jon Rothstein Thursday morning that Henderson’s return would be mid-January at the earlier, and he may possibly not be back until February.
The Wolfpack was unquestionably counting on Henderson this season. He averaged 11.7 points per game during his sophomore campaign at West Virginia before transferring to N.C. State. It is an equally tough break for Henderson as well.
By transferring to NCSU, Henderson voluntarily redshirted last season, leaving less the possibility that he could conceivably use a medical redshirt this season. Also, in Henderson’s absence sophomore Caleb Martin and freshman Maverick Rowan have emerged…
