As members of the 2016 recruiting class make the transition from high school to college, many prospects are looking to put themselves in position to compete as true freshmen this fall. Several players tried to get an early jump by enrolling in school in January, while others are hoping to make positive impressions when they arrive on their respective campuses this summer.
Virginia Tech, NC State, Syracuse and UVa each signed middle-of-the-pack ACC classes. The Hokies, Orange and Cavaliers were challenged with wrapping their classes despite making coaching changes late in the 2016 cycle, while the Wolfpack were challenged with maintaining momentum following an excellent 2015 signing class.
