Muhammad suspended for Miami's opener

Defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad hasn’t played in a Miami game since 2013. And one wonders if he will ever see the field again for the Canes.

Reports have surfaced that Muhammad won’t play in tonight’s opener against Bethune-Cookman after being suspended for a violation of team rules.

Last spring, the sophomore from Irvington, New Jersey was suspended when he punched a fellow student. This came after he found himself lower on the depth chart than expected. Sophomore Trent Harris is the team’s starter there.

Muhammad was a 4-star rated player by ESPN, 247Sports, Rivals, Scout, and Maxpreps coming out of high school.
