Bethel adds to a Hurricanes class that already ranks among the nation’s top 20. Rated the No. 10 strong-side defensive end in his class on the 247Sports Composite, he is one of 18 players committed to Miami’s 2016 class.
A native of Vero Beach, Florida, Bethel continued the trend of in-state prospects picking the Hurricanes. All of the seniors currently pledged to Miami are from the state of Florida.
According to MaxPreps, Bethel logged 36 tackles, including nine sacks, as a senior at Vero Beach High School.
