Just days after ending a commitment to USF that spanned nearly six months, Kordell Slater found a new home. On Sunday, the 2016 defensive end announced he was ACC-bound.

A native of Port Charlotte, Florida, Slater initially pledged to USF in June. On Dec. 8, however, he reopened his recruitment. It wasn’t long before Bobby Petrino’s staff added the 6-5, 250-pound prospect to its 2016 class.
Slater is rated the No. 93 senior weak-side defensive end in the country on the 247Sports Composite. He is one of five defensive linemen committed to the Cardinals’ 2016 group.
