ACCSports.com recently conducted a lengthy conversation with Florida State head coach Leonard Hamilton. Hamilton is the second-most tenured head coach in the ACC, behind only Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski. He’s become the winningest coach in school history not only at FSU, but at Miami, giving him the unique distinction of being the only ACC head coach to lead two programs within the league in all-time victories.
Hamilton is not thrilled about the convergence of numerous rule changes in college basketball for the 2015-2016 season. From a new 30-second shot clock, to new rules adjusting defensive positioning and how charges will be called, there’s a lot of new things that coaches and players are having to adjust to.
From Hamilton’s perspective, it doesn’t seem wise to impose so many new rules on the sport all at once.
