Boston College added another commitment to its 2016 class on Saturday when athlete John Lamot flipped from Elon to the Eagles. Lamot’s decision to switch his commitment came just five days after he landed an offer to play for Steve Addazio’s program.
I have decided to decommit from Elon, and have committed to Boston College!! I want to thank all those who have helped me along the way!!

A native of Mebane, North Carolina, Lamot starred on the gridiron at Eastern Alamance High School. He originally pledged to Elon in August.
Lamot projects as a linebacker in Chestnut Hill at 6-2 and 205 pounds. A 2-star recruit on Rivals.com, he is the only senior in his state to commit to Boston College this cycle.
The Eagles’ 19-man class ranks No. 56 nationally in the Rivals team rankings. It is also considered the No. 12 group in the ACC.
