Who benefits from Alkins' transfer to Word of God?

5-star guard Rawle Alkins made some national recruiting news in early September when he announced he was taking his talents to Word of God Academy in Raleigh, North Carolina for his upcoming senior basketball season. The alma mater of former Kentucky and current NBA star John Wall, Word of God has produced numerous Division I basketball players over the past decade.

With Alkins making his way from the Northeast to the heart of Tobacco Road, many recruiting analysts will speculate that this improves the chances of those ACC schools still in the market for a 2016 shooting guard. Some of those programs that Alkins has listed includes North Carolina, Louisville, and NC State. Does Alkins’ move to the North Carolina Triangle improve the chances of the local ACC schools, or the Cardinals?
