Turn-It-Back Tuesday: Headliners and sleepers in the 2009 recruiting class

With another signing day in the books, we decided to take a look back at past ACC recruiting classes. Each team’s class is highlighted with a headliner — or top-rated prospect — and a lower-rated prospect who was considered a diamond in the rough. All rankings are based off of Rivals.com star ratings.

This week, we look back at the class of 2009.

Headliner: Dillon Quinn, DT, 4-star

After redshirting his freshman season, Quinn played in 24 total games over three seasons before leaving the team due to personal reasons. Quinn finished his collegiate career with 40 career tackles and one career sack.

Diamond in the rough: Luke Kuechly, LB, 3-star

This one is a no-brainer. While Kuechly entered Boston College as a modest 3-star recruit, he left as a two-time consensus All-American and was picked No. 9 overall in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers. A starter from Day 1, Kuechly totaled a mind-boggling 532 total tackles and 44 tackles for loss in just three seasons.
