With the ACC’s recent expansion, the I-95 corridor has become important for recruiting up and down the East Coast. While the individual states in the Northeastern part of the country don’t have nearly as many Division I football prospects as the Southeast, states such as New York and New Jersey annually produce several major college talents.
As of mid-December, ten New Jersey football prospects were committed to ACC schools, while six players currently residing in New York were pledged around the league. Notre Dame has one additional pledge from New York.
