Rising juniors excel at NBAPA Top 100 camp

One of the premier June events that college hoops coaches are not allowed to attend is the recent NBA Players Association Top 100 Camp at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Our comments below about individual player performances rely considerably on input from Clark Francis, editor and publisher of the Hoop Scoop in Louisville, Ky., and from my colleague Mike Galu.

Note that this invitation-only camp for players with remaining high school eligibility would be even stronger and deeper in talent if its play dates (June 16-19 this year) didn’t coincide with tryouts for the prestigious USA Basketball 17-Under National Team. Consequently, most of the truly elite rising seniors were not in Charlottesville, although several of the most promising underclassmen were present.
