Take a look at how our staff ranks all 14 ACC football schools following last week’s round of contents, and heading into the Week 6 matchups.
Clemson has solidified its hold on the No. 1 spot in the ACCSports.com Power Rankings heading into Week 6. Coming off its big win over Notre Dame, the Tigers are a unanimous choice by our staff as the league’s top team heading.
Florida State holds the No. 2 spot, while UNC makes a huge jump up to No. 3 following its upset win over Georgia Tech in Atlanta. The Yellow Jackets fall down into an eighth-place tie with NC State. The Wolfpack are licking their wounds following a home loss against division foe Louisville, who holds our No. 7 spot.
Coastal Division rivals Duke, Pittsburgh, and Miami hold down the No. 4 through No. 6 spots in the rankings, though there appears to be a significant gap between the Tigers and Seminoles, who are sitting atop our list, and these good-but-not-great squads. Miami, of course, has a chance to say something about that Saturday night, when they take on Florida State in Tallahassee.
