ACC recruits shine in Raleigh event

The week after Christmas, we spent two days apiece (as usual) watching games at the Holiday Invitational Tournament (December 26 and 28) in Raleigh (NC) and the Beach Ball Classic (December 29-30) in Myrtle Beach (SC). Overall, we viewed 32 high school teams in action in a five-day span, and in these two prestigious tournaments were a handful of the nation’s premier prep prospects, including several headed to ACC schools.

Below, we have ranked the top 20 players in the Holiday Invitational, and within the week we’ll also provide an article that ranks the best 25 prospects in the Beach Ball Classic. The Holiday Invitational featured big-time seniors such as 6-4 Katy (TX) Cypress Lakes PG/WG De’Aaron Fox (Kentucky signee), 6-10 High Point (NC) Christian C/BF Edrice “Bam” Adebayo (also Kentucky), 6-11 Durham (NC) Voyager Academy BF/C Jay Huff (Virginia), 6-10 Lynchburg (VA) Virginia Episcopal School BF Sacha Killeya-Jones (another future Kentucky Wildcat), 6-1 High Point Christian PG Ty Graves (Boston College), 6-2 High Point (NC) Wesleyan Christian WG/PG Kwe Parker (Tennessee), 6-0 High Point Wesleyan Christian PG Brandon Childress (Wake Forest), and 6-0 Lynchburg Virginia Episcopal School PG Justice Kithcart (Pittsburgh).
