ESPN analyst and former Wake Forest coach Dino Gaudio recently joined The David Glenn Show to talk about what goes into having success in March, which teams he likes in the Sweet 16 and the strengths and weaknesses he sees in the remaining ACC teams. When asked about teams he sees making a deep run, Gaudio said he has an ACC squad in the national title game on his bracket.
“I think it’s Kansas, and it’s Carolina,” he said. “If you put a gun to my head, in my bracket, I have them in the national championship game.”
Gaudio stated that winning games down the stretch has to do with more than just scoring points.
“Kansas is defending so well. They have a veteran team; they have experience. What really opened my eyes and turned my thinking to Carolina was how well they defended those two games in the ACC Tournament. They were just sensational on the defensive end of the floor.”
