After the conclusion of high schools’ basketball seasons, the vast majority of premier basketball recruiting prospects play during the spring and summer for club/travel teams that participate in April and early May events often sponsored by shoe companies Nike, Adidas or Under Armour. Under NCAA rules, college coaches are allowed to attend some of the April events, in particular, while scouting services can cover all of them.
