With NCAA events in jeopardy, NC Governor urges Legislature to repeal controversial law

North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper recently joined The David Glenn Show to discuss the state’s controversial House Bill 2 and the effect it has on the NC economy. In the coming weeks, the NCAA will review bids for potential host sites of its events through 2022, and North Carolina will reportedly be removed from consideration if the law — viewed by many as discriminatory — is not repealed.

During the conversation, Gov. Cooper also described playing high school basketball with UNC legend Phil Ford, the significance of the Duke-UNC rivalry and his lifelong love of sports.
