NBA Playoffs: ACC Schools Send 14 to Round Two

The current members of the ACC have 14 players remaining after the first round of the NBA playoffs.

The 15 current members had 73 former players who saw action in the NBA this season. Thirty three of them appeared in at least one playoff game in round one.

Here’s a look at how the schools match up based on this year’s playoff performance

Notre Dame and Virginia Tech were the only ACC schools without a current NBA player. Boston College raises eyebrows as one of only four ACC teams with two playoff players remaining.

However, with two perennial All Stars still alive in the playoffs and a 70 point lead, Wake is close to wrapping up the ACC Playoff Scoring title.  Three of Wake’s four playoff representatives were the top three first-round scorers from ACC schools.

Wake’s playoff performance is even more impressive considering the fact that former Demon Deacons only produced the fifth-highest regular season scoring total among ACC schools.
