ESPN’s Dino Gaudio was a guest on The David Glenn Show today, and among other topics, he discussed his process of researching the Wake Forest job, some thoughts on the late Skip Prosser and, specifically, the coaching vacancy at his old gig in Winston-Salem.
In regards to the perception of the position, Gaudio described how uncertainty could add to the difficulty of making a new hire.
“It’s a challenge, and I think I’d be remiss if I didn’t say that what happened with myself and what’s now happened with Jeff Bzdelik, the shine has come off of that program,” Gaudio said. “I think there are some questions about the leadership there in that athletic department and who’s going to be there and how long the person’s going to be there.”
Gaudio also pointed out some of the positive aspects.
“It’s not a good school, it’s a great school. I think when you have a great school, good academics, that you have a chance.”
