ACC Football Preseason Poll: Clemson heavy favorite, UNC leads Coastal

The 2021 ACC Football Preseason Poll was unveiled today on The ACC Network, via Packer and Durham. Here’s a look at how things stack up, according to a preseason poll of 147 media voters.

Unsurprisingly, Clemson is a heavy favorite to repeat as the conference’s champion. The Tigers received 125 of 147 votes as the league’s top team. North Carolina was second with 16.

Going by divisions: Clemson received all but one first-place vote for the Atlantic Division race. NC State grabbed the other lone vote.

Of course, the Coastal Division is a little more bunched up. North Carolina projects as its top team, though; the Tar Heels grabbed 109 first-place votes. Miami was second with 28. Every team in the Coastal Division — with the exception of Duke — received at least one first-place vote, which is sort of ridiculous. Alas.
