With the win, NC State improved to 20-8 (8-7 ACC); that makes two straight 20-win seasons under Kevin Keatts. NC State is off until Saturday now — a road game at Florida State.
Wake Forest, however, drops to 10-16 on the season (3-11 ACC). It’ll be a quick turnaround for Wake, too, which hosts Miami on Tuesday.

Even with Josh Jackson’s decision to transfer out of Virginia Tech, the Hokies will still have plenty of depth at the quarterback position. Over the weekend, the Hokies added another player to the QB room, too: Braxton Burmeister.

A former 4-star recruit, Burmeister will most likely have to redshirt during the 2019 season. As a true freshman in 2017, he started five games for Oregon. Last season, he appeared in four games, which allowed him to redshirt.
FSU adds transfer QB Wyatt Rector
Desperate to add depth at the quarterback position, Florida State landed former Western Michigan QB Wyatt Rector, who will be preferred walk-on. Rector will miss spring ball in Tallahassee, though, and enroll in May. Both and he and Louisville transfer Jordan Travis will try to gain immediate eligibility via hardship waivers.
JUST IN: QB transfer @WyattRector is coming to FSU as a preferred walk-on, with a chance to get a scholarship this season depending on if he's granted a waiver.
"Honestly it’s like a dream come true."
