The wasn’t how it was supposed to end, but as the world focuses its attention on more pressing matters, the college basketball season has come to its close. In the final AP Top 25 poll of the 2019-20 season, four ACC teams are present.
- No. 4 Florida State
- No. 11 Duke
- No. 14 Louisville
- No. 16 Virginia
The No. 4 overall ranking for Florida State marks the highest year-end ranking in program history and the second straight season that FSU has finished inside the AP top 10.
No other ACC program received a vote in the final poll.

Of those four programs, three finished inside the top 15 of KenPom’s adjusted efficiency ratings, too: Duke (No. 5), Louisville (No. 9) and FSU (No. 15). Virginia finished the season 42nd in adjusted efficiency margin; however, Tony Bennett’s club once again posted the No. 1 defensive in the country. This marks the seventh time UVA has finished inside the top five nationally in terms of adjusted defense.
