Boston: ‘UNC Prepares You to be in the NFL’

Recently drafted Carolina Panther and former North Carolina safety Tre Boston joined The David Glenn Show on Monday to talk about the NFL draft, his time in Chapel Hill and how he’ll fit in at the next level.  The second-team All-ACC selection was picked in the fourth round on Saturday.

While Boston’s four years as a Tar Heel included three head coaches and five different position coaches, he considers the challenges to be more of a blessing than a curse.

“UNC definitely prepares you to be in the league,” the Florida native said.  “Now we’re trying to build a program where we can win championships, and I think [Larry] Fedora’s building a nice program over there.”

Boston also insisted he has confidence in college teammate Jabari Price making Minnesota’s roster after being drafted by the Vikings in the seventh round.  Click below to hear the full interview.
