What’s getting in the way of an ACC channel?

 

Over the last three years, ACC commissioner John Swofford has been asked a seemingly endless number of questions regarding the possibility of the league getting its own channel.

This week was no exception, as the conference’s annual spring meetings took place in Amelia Island, Florida.

While Swofford addressed reporters about the ACC and its TV situation on Thursday, there were no groundbreaking updates. For now, the league is continuing to work with ESPN to anticipate where technology will go moving forward.

But if the SEC and Big Ten each have their own channels that have been wildly successful, why isn’t the ACC already in the same spot?
