Wake fills out roster with another graduate transfer

For the second day in a row, Wake Forest landed a graduate transfer who could see major minutes next season. The Demon Deacons landed Matt Williams, a 6-5, 220-pound wing player who previously played at Central Florida.

The senior has one year of eligbility remaining.

Williams joins Austin Arians — a transfer from Wisconsin-Milwaukee who picked Wake over the weekend — as Manning filled the open spots on his roster. Arians is the favorite to start at small forward, and Williams will likely see time at both shooting guard and small forward. Both players will add much needed shooting from the wing.

Williams shot 38.4 percent on 242 three-point attempts as a freshman and sophomore. As a junior in 2014-15, he suffered a severe knee injury in the opener and missed the rest of the season. Williams returned last season to average 8.1 points and shoot 33 percent from long range. His best game was a 24-point outing against Cincinnati, which included six three-pointers.

With Williams on board, what does Wake Forest’s starting lineup look like for next season?
