Miami adds coveted receiver

 

Miami added a quality prospect to its 2017 recruiting class over the weekened when Brunswick, Georgia, wide receiver DeeJay Dallas committed to the Hurricanes. The consensus 4-star recruit made his announcement via Twitter:

Dallas has long been a recruit of Mark Richt, whose staff at Georgia made the 5-10, 191-pound athlete a Bulldogs commitment last July. However, Dallas decommitted from UGa in December after Richt left for Miami.

Going into his senior year at Glynn Academy, Dallas is rated the No. 12 athlete in the 2017 class, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. Per MaxPreps, he caught 14 passes for 147 yards and one touchdown as a junior in 2015. He also plays quarterback and safety at the high school level.
