Frontcourt issues could lead to major dropoff for Georgia Tech

This offseason has marked a transition period for Georgia Tech basketball in a variety of ways.

Most notably, the Yellow Jackets underwent a coaching change shortly after the season, letting go of Brian Gregory in March and just weeks later hiring Memphis’ Josh Pastner, who hired a new group of assistants.

The team also lost five seniors from its rotation, including its top four scorers. One of those players was Marcus Georges-Hunt, who was a third-team All-ACC selection last season.

Going into Pastner’s first year in Atlanta, Tech won’t be starting from scratch completely, with a few experienced guards returning. In the frontcourt, however, the Jackets will be trying to replace productive talent with unproven players.
